Rocket City Mold Dog was born from a deeply personal experience. Just weeks after moving to Huntsville from out of state, founders Abby and Andres discovered hidden mold in their new home. What followed were seven long months of displacement, health struggles, and multiple rounds of conventional mold testing, remediation, and rebuilding. Despite working with many skilled professionals, they realized there was still a critical gap in available services—something that could provide true peace of mind about the safety of their living environment.

Their search for answers led them to an innovative solution: dogs trained to detect mycotoxins. Just as dogs can detect narcotics, explosives, or even impending health events like strokes, they can also be trained to detect the effects of fungal growth. This discovery became the final piece of the puzzle.

Out of that difficult season came a determination to help others avoid the same uncertainty and hardship. Today, Rocket City Mold Dog combines the unmatched sense of smell and work ethic of a specially trained detection dog with traditional lab testing and personal insight into the health effects of mold.
